Nashville’s best caterers are invited to showcase a signature dish as part of the event.  The outstanding array of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages by area caterers, specialty food shops, and favorite dining destinations has become a significant part of the fundraiser and has made “The BirdHouse Thing” one of Nashville’s premier social events. 

We take great pride in eliminating the financial barriers of music education for many of Nashville’s children but it is not possible without the support of our friends and neighbors.  We need your help to make The Birdhouse Thing a successful reality.  We hope that you will consider joining us this year.

Please let us know if you are interested in participating this year and on behalf of The Birdhouse Thing committee, thank you in advance for your consideration in supporting this very important fundraising event.  We look forward to hearing from you in the not too distant future.

Caterer Participation Outline

W.O. Smith Music School will provide:

  • A 6-foot table
  • Table skirt and tablecloth
  • Signage on the table
  • All disposable utensils, plates, and napkins

Caterers will be asked to:

  • Forward an electronic logo (preferably a high resolution jpeg) to katy@wosmith.org for print ads, the event website, and the event program. If a caterer has participated in prior years, the school has your logo.
  • Inform school of menu choices no later than March 1, 2010
  • Inform school of any special requests (i.e. electrical outlet) no later than March 1, 2010
  • Bring at least 750 individual pieces or 750 servings of chosen item(s)
  • Provide serving dishes, serving utensils
  • Provide at least one worker to serve during the event on Thursday, March 11, 2010
  • Arrive at the W.O. Smith Music School between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm on the 11th for set-up
  • Remain until the end of the event (around 9:00 pm)
